What would happen if i got caught by myself past curfew?

not driving. just walking. if i(a 15 year old) got caught out past my cities curfew (10:00p.m.) would there be a penalty, or would i get a warning, or would they take me home and tell my parents? if it matters..i live in southern california in a small little city/town
