Which phone to get? Tough decisions!?

So the two phones I'm stuck between are the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300. Well I have four friends with Blackberry's. Two of them have the 8520 and two of them have the 3G 9300. I love both models, and one of my friends who has the 8520 investigated the differences between both models before she got hers and never found many, so she just went with the cheaper option. One of my friends with the 3G 9300 says it's a brilliant phone, and the other said that it is rubbish, and that his track pad broke and he sent it away to get fixed and it came back exactly the same, so warned me not to get it. The 9300 has 3G but I'm not entirely sure what that is. I've tried typing with both BlackBerry's and I prefer to type with the 8520 as the buttons are more firm on it. I'm not sure if it's just my friend's phone (the one with the 9300) that has the not as firm buttons or if that's what they're all like. Also, the internet on the 8520 is faster. Again I'm not sure if it's just the 9300 my friend has that has slow internet or if it's all 9300s. Any advice would be appreciated as this is a really hard decision! Also, if you are going to answer could you keep it simple because I'm not good at understanding things. Hahaha, thanks!
